Our next meeting with CPS is scheduled for this Friday. Our case woker called today and after some conversation she said they would wave our 24 hour waiting period and would let us meet the boys after our appointment on Friday!!!
It is so crazy to think that we will be meeting our three sons for the first time this Saturday! What do you wear to such an event?? Do we bring gifts for the kids or is that bribery to make them like us?? Will they like us or will the run and hide??
Holy cats!! We will have three young boys moving in with us in about two weeks!!! the pressure is on to wrap up projects. We have to finish their play area out back, build 3 bunk beds, have a new fence put in and a whole handful of other things I would like to do before they are here. I just want them to love it here and be happy, healthy boys!!

On the verge of going blind
We have been reviewing the case files in prep for our placement meeting. Two 4" binders stuffed full!! Crazy amounts of info on the boys and their history with CPS.
For anyone who may take this path, it is a hard read. Learning things that your future children have suffered is heart breaking to say the least. Will the kids remember these horrors? We're they removed before permanent damage was done? Will they have lasting effects from their exposure? No one has these answers.
We have been chosen for these boys through CPS and these boys were chosen for us by God. We know that this is God's will for our lives and that these are our children, even though we have never met them. God has paved this path just for us and he is continually making it clear that this is truly what he wants for us. Because of this, we know that we will love these children and it will all work out through Him.
Our placement meeting is tentatively scheduled for August 9. This is the meeting with all those involved in the boys lives...caseworkers, lawyers, and foster parents. They will give us all the info they have and we will ask questions about their past, family and their current schedule and needs.
We have a 24 hour mandatory waiting period before we can give our yes or no decision. We will say yes :-) after that, we will finally meet our three sons!!!
